2024 Annual Assessment Increase

The annual assessment in Summers Landing has been around $200 per year for most of the 23 years since Summers Landing was incorporated. There was a brief period where a previous Board of Directors (BoD) raised the dues twice - first to $210 and then to $220. During the last 10 years, your current BoD has reduced the dues back to the original $200 per year where it has remained for the last half dozen years.

Unfortunately, inflation has taken its toll on and the BoD has found it necessary to increase the dues by $10 to $210 starting in 2024.

As mentioned in a previous post, the BoD is also changing the Annual Meeting from January to May, when weather tends to be much better.

We hope that changing the Annual Meeting month from January to May will increase attendance. It should also eliminate most meeting cancelations due to weather and provide longer daylight for elderly residents uncomfortable driving to a meeting at night.
